The Center has extended the nationwide lock down until May 31, but allowed several more relaxations outside containment zones to restart economic activity. For the states, the big change is that they would be allowed to demarcate the red, green and orange zones.
The new guidelines by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) permits barber shops, salons and shopping complexes to open. However, the night curfew will remain in effect, which means that all non-essential travel will remain prohibited between 7pm and 7am. The ban on flights and metro services will also remain in place till May 31.
